Joosung Park is a partner in the TMT Group at Bae, Kim & Lee LLC whose principal practice areas include not only traditional intellectual property rights, such as patents, trademarks, design rights and copyrights, but also advisory and litigation matters relating to corporate data and information protection, trade secret infringement and unfair competition. He primarily handles legal issues arising in connection with advanced technologies of domestic and foreign IT companies, and also provides legal advice to various startups. In particular, he has significant interest and experience in matters in the entertainment industry, including games, sports and digital content.
During his service as a public interest legal officer under the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Park gained extensive experience in various roles, including as head of the Tax and Customs Administrative Litigation Team in the Litigation Department of the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, secretary-general of the Administrative Appeals Commission, and review committee member for the 7th and 8th Korean Bar Examination. He also featured as a panelist on the "Monday Legal Guide" segment of KBS (Gangneung) Radio's Information Magazine for approximately eight (8) months.
Mr. Park has extensive experience in directly advising Woowa Brothers Corp., which operates Baedal Minjok, Korea's leading food delivery application, on a wide range of legal issues arising in the platform industry, including information protection, intellectual property and financial transactions. He also has experience in directly handling a wide range of legal advisory matters at Samsung Biologics Co.,Ltd, the world's largest Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), including on compliance issues relating to data security, organoids and the processing of healthcare data.
Mr. Park earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2024 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2025. He later completed the AI for Lawyers program at the University of Michigan Law School and gained practical experience at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP Washington D.C. Office, a global law firm, where he handled matters relating to the protection of rights in advanced technologies and infringement disputes.
Mr. Park completed the doctoral coursework (in International Economic Law) at Seoul National University Graduate School of Law.
